DVD Valet Privacy Policy
DVD Valet respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Local Library Data: UPCs you scan and any library metadata you add, stored on your device.
- Camera Access (Optional): Used only to scan DVD UPC barcodes so titles can be added to your queued library. You can deny permission and still use non-scan features.
- Diagnostic Information: Basic error logs used to maintain reliability. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
How We Use Information
- Provide core functionality, including scanning DVD UPCs, adding titles to your queued library, and managing your saved queue.
- Improve reliability and support by diagnosing issues and fixing bugs.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We may share limited data with service providers who help us operate the service, such as hosting infrastructure, under appropriate safeguards.
Security
DVD Valet stores your library queue locally on your device. If future versions sync data to a server, network communication will use HTTPS/TLS.
Retention
Local library data remains on your device unless you delete the app or clear data. Diagnostic logs are retained only as needed to operate the service.
Children's Privacy
DVD Valet is intended for use by adult users and is not directed to children under 13.
Your Choices
- Camera Permission: You can deny or revoke camera access in device settings; the app remains functional for non-scan screens.
